9,90

VAT exempted according to § 6 Abs. 1 Z 27 UStG

Pixie Wings – airy, fresh, happy light colors – with lots of transparent Blues.

Heat gently because of the transparent striking orange. There can be dark reactions (have a look at the pics)

Frit blend *Mix* 104coe & 10% 96coe

Tip: Use 10%-percent-rule and make test beads, to make sure your combination works as wished for.
10%-percent-rule means: use a maximum of 10% 96coe glass together with 90% 104coe glass.  The rule refers to the whole bead. If your base bead is 104coe, with frit this will be no problem, but keep the rule in mind.

Some ideas using “Pixie Wings”:

Blown hollow beads:

Blown hollow beads using Effetre 006 clear as base glass. Rolled in frit. Tutorials and classes on how to blow hollow beads can be found from various artists.

Stud earrings:

Brief instruction:

Cut two pieces of glass (here Effetre white) with the same size from the rod. I use a 5 mm diameter rod and cut off 5-6 mm pieces. Hold the glass piece with tweezers or pliers and warm it in the flame.
Also, warm the tip of the ear stud (which you hold with an ear stud-holding-tool) and dock it onto the warm glass. Then melt the glass until it is a small round blob. The stud should go 1-2 mm into the glass.
Now roll the hot glass blob into the frit blend and melt them in. Then shape it – eg with a lentil former or a really small marble mold, anneal it and put it into the annealing kiln or into annealing beads/bubbles.

Grab the hot glass at the tip with your tweezers and twist it. Melt it again until it is round and next shape it eg with a lentil former or a really small marble mold, anneal it and put it into the annealing kiln or into annealing beads/bubbles.
